Owned by its members since 1997
Founded in 1997, Zigama CSS is Cooperative Bank rather than a Commercial bank and its Members are both the owners and beneficiaries of the Cooperative. Members save and access credit through 20 branches across the country and the products and services are designed around members financial needs and income patterns. Zigama CSS has been improving the lives of its Members and their families by promoting a Culture of saving, providing loan facilities with competitive interest rates and making banking easier.

Governance and Leadership
Zigama CSS is governed through Three Levels: The Membership, the Board, which is accountable to Members, and Management, which is accountable to the Board
How We Are Governed
Three levels of governance, with members at the top.
General Assembly
The highest Governing body, representing the Membership and meeting twice a Year.
Board of Directors
Represents the interests of members and Staff between General Assemblies, with Members drawn from the six Member Institutions.
Executive Management
Manages the Bank’s day-to-day Operations and Reports to the Board.
